Clients print covers. We do not scold them. A spine you can see from the sofa is how most people remember which issue they were in the middle of. Print the cover at a modest size, write the edition number on the back in pencil, and keep the token ID in the log, not on the print. Sun through a Bangkok window will bleach a cheap print in a season.
Do not store the only copy of your issue log inside the same wallet app you use to mint. When that app updates its interface, your notes vanish. A dated spreadsheet or a paper notebook next to the prints has survived every client we have who also tried a “collection dashboard.”
Humidity is unkind to paper covers and irrelevant to the token. If you make prints, use a dry cabinet or at least a shelf away from the kitchen. The NFT does not care. Your future self, hunting the funeral-cover print before a reading session, does.
We also ask people to pick a reading device and stay with it for a run. Switching from phone to tablet mid-arc is how you lose the page you dog-eared in your head.
